It's OK Thursday!

It's OK Thursdays with Amber and Neely.

It's OK...

.. that I was part time for far longer than I wanted to be, because I'm now officially a
FULL TIME
employee at, what I believe is the greatest company in the world :)

I found out the amazing news towards the end of my review, so approximately at 1:45 yesterday. There were tears, hugs, congratulatory emails, people that stop by my desk to congratulate me, and the CEO came over to give me a high five while wearing a bathing suit (FYI: he had a shirt on as well). I don't think it can get more official than that.

I'm just so extremely grateful to be part of such an amazing company. The environment in which we work is unlike any other and if that doesn't make it amazing enough, the people are just incredible. All I know is it was worth the wait!

Last night when I got home I had these pretty things waiting for me
We headed to Bonefish for dinner. Nothing like bang bang shrimp to celebrate :)

It's OK..

..that the wait was 50 minutes so we grabbed a high top in the bar area. We waited 22 minutes for someone to come greet us. 22 MINUTES! Not only did it take her that long to come over but she didn't apologize for the wait. I was appalled. At that point, I just wanted to get my bang bang and leave. Being in the service industry for some many years, I feel like I have sympathy for servers, but that was just ridiculous. We got an app and a few drinks and hit the road.

From there we met up with a couple of friends that helped me celebrate! Justin suggested Irish Car Bombs. I hadn't had one in well over 3-years so it was an interesting choice but of course delicious :)

It's OK..

.. that I'm about to spend a massive amount online today at Tobi. I've got to have my shopping spree celebration, too ;)

.. that I'm going out for dinner and drinks tonight for the 4th time in a row. Sista needs to catch up on her shows, cleaning and sleep. Not to mention I'm sure my liver could use a break!

Today EVERYTHING is OK.. I'm on cloud 9 :)

If you can dream it, you can achieve it!

Thursday-- I went to see the midnight showing of The Hunger Games and I absolutely LOVED it. I loved how they didn't deviate from the book hardly at all. I would definitely recommend both the book and the movie to anyone who is considering checking them out!

Friday -- I left work at 3 and we went to the Bay Hill Invitational. Tiger walked right next to me and I got to watch him play. Being that it was my first golf tournament, I thought it was pretty neat!
Tiger on the 18th hole :)

Saturday -- it was my cousin's baby shower, she is having TWINS (boy & girl)! I can't decide if I'm jealous or I feel bad for her ;) Anyhoo, my sister and I decided late Friday night that we should make her a diaper cake. So that's what I did that night, my sister stayed for moral support.

My little cousin showcasing our toilet papered diaper we made in under 3-minutes. Our team won :) It may or may not have had something to do with the fact that I drew poop on the back and wrote Pampers on the front ;) They thought it was a great touch!

The winning team :) My Cousin, Aunt & I!

Sunday -- as per usual, it was a soccer day. After practice I found some time to study for the GRE, go me!

Monday -- my Mom & I took the little man to the happiest place on Earth, DISNEY WORLD! Honestly, I don't know who was more excited to see all the characters, Landyn or myself,  but we had a blast! We used to go ALL the time, like at least once a month, but I hadn't been in a few years so to say I was excited is an understatement.

Landyn's first Disney ride ever was It's a Small World. I thought it was pretty fitting because it was my favorite when I was little and it was the song that played in my crib!
Waiting in line for Dumbo :)
 Cinderella show -- MY FAV!
Waiting for the parade to come!
 Love me some Cinderella
Landyn loves both Mickey & Minnie!
Mickey Ice Cream
The Ferry back to our car. He kept repeating "I want boat"

After dropping the little monster off, I quickly changed and went to The Wine Room on Park Ave with my favorite friend from college :) We hopped around Park Ave to a few different bars and I didn't get to bed until past 1. Let's just say it wasn't easy to wake up yesterday!
When I dragged myself into work, Kate reminded me that we had a girls dinner that night. It had completely slipped my mind. We went to Stonewood Grill & Tavern and had some delicious food & drinks!

Well that was my weekend. I hope you wonderful ladies had just as much fun as I did :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

What I'm Loving Wednesday with Jamie. Come join us :)

I'm loving that my new blog layout is almost complete. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys think :)

I'm loving that I brought a yoo-hoo to work, again! It's the little things :)

I'm loving that Easter is only a little over a week away. I'm stoked to see little Landyn look for Easter eggs.

I'm loving these two dresses from Tobi. If you haven't been to their website yet, I highly suggest it. They have the cutest styles for every different occasion and every different price range. Under $25 or over $200! Talk about variety.

I thought these were perfect for Easter weekend!
BONUS: The top one is $32 and the bottom one is only $25. SCORE!

I'm loving that the time has come for my annual review at work. We had to rate our selves and submit a document about our successes, skills, goals, things that we feel we could improve on and much more. We then have to sit down with our department head and have them go over the review with us while they rate us. Talk about nerve-wrecking! My hope is that this will be the time when I get full-time. I hate saying that out loud because I will be crushed if I don't, but right now my hopes are high.  Cross your fingers for me - I'll know by 1:30PM.

I'm loving that I've had a lot of girl time in the past few days. Nothing beats good girl talk with alcohol! My weekend update is coming shortly after this post. Sorry, I've been slackin'.

I'm loving that Kate's bachelorette party is only 6-weeks away -- an all girls trip is exactly what I need/want right now!

I'm loving this quote.

Happy Hump Day! :)

We Need to Talk about Kevin

Right now, I feel mentally and emotionally exhausted.

All I want right now is to  to be at this location
 Reading this club book

Instead I'll settle for doing this exact thing, but in a different setting. Hello, comfy bed!

'We Need To Talk About Kevin". Last month's book was not my favorite so I'm really hoping this a good one :)

Way late weekend recap

Just thought I'd fill you in on my St. Patty's day festivities.

I got wild.

Saturday morning, I woke up feeling like a million bucks. I thought my sickness had gone to bother someone else, although I don't wish what I had on anyone.

Of course, since I didn't get to see him Friday, Landyn was the first person I couldn't wait to see. Mickey D's was the first stop of my rockin' day. Landyn loves playing in the play place and my mom and I love that it's air conditioned.

Then it was time to make the Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies in honor of my Irish roots - dyed green, of course ;)

& watched two movies to top off my day.
Yes, this movie was extremely corny and there were some parts I could have done without, but I still thought it was adorable. Any movie that features dancing it OK in my book :)
I honestly thought I didn't like this movie, but it was different and I love movies that I can't predict or seem to mock real life. Although I love me a good chick flick, I also enjoy not always having a happily ever after type story.

Sunday, I took Landyn to soccer practice. He is looking adorable, as per usual.

Since it was scorching hot during practice, we headed to my pool after to soak up some rays.
Of course, I had to get some friend time in. We had some drinks then went back to her place to talk and played catch phrase until the wee hours in the morning!
Little did I know my sickness only teased me by staying gone throughout Sunday. It came back with a bang on Monday and left me practically immobile. After running my errands, I never left the house again. Luckily, I was able to research a ton of GRE information from my comfy couch!

That is my way late weekend recap.

I'm looking forward to this coming weekend for sure :)

It's OK & Thankful Thursday!

Good Morning!

Today I'll be doing my usual link up with Amber & Neely, as well as trying out a new link up about what I'm thankful for with Ryan over at The Ramblings of Mrs. Hargrave!

It's OK that my bridesmaid dress for Kate's wedding has been in for over 3-weeks and I have yet to go pick it up!

I'm thankful that we only have less than 60 days until the Bachelorette weekend of fun!

It's OK that I only got 6 hours of sleep last night.  Usually I wouldn't say that it's a big deal but tonight I'll only get 3 hours so I was hoping to catch up on sleep last night!

I'm thankful for the reason I will be lacking sleep tonight.. I get to see The Hunger Games tonight at midnight!!

It' OK that the GRE material is turning out to be way more work than I had originally planned. I wish there was a more condensed word list to study other than the 5,000 words that I want even come close to getting through in 4 weeks. ANY word list suggestions?

I'm thankful that I am making the right decision for what makes me happy and not letting anyone's negative opinions sway my decision.

It's OK that my friends had their baby this morning and I don't have time to go see him today or tomorrow :( I'm hoping some time becomes available in my schedule so I can squeeze a hospital visit in. Nothing makes me happier than little babies!
I'm thankful for new life and, of course, another baby that I can play with :)

It's OK that I don't have all the clothes, jewelry & accessories that I find on a daily basis.

I'm thankful that I have as much as I do. I've always been a work hard, play hard type of person, but being a part-time employee (still 35 hours a week but without salary) has put a damper on my play hard ways. But I'm thankful that I have a job that I love and I know this is only temporary.

It's OK that my nephew is no longer a baby. I honestly can't believe how much he has grown in these last 2- years.

I'm thankful that I have the sweetest nephew in the whole world.  Even though he isn't always acting like a little angel, he is my angel.

It's OK that I still have 2 days left of work until the weekend!

I'm thankful that my boyfriend has off this weekend so we get to spend some time together! :)
