Weekend Update

Mi amore Stephanie came in town this weekend.
YAY for a break from law school!

We drank, we chatted, we cried (happy tears), we danced.
Sounds like the recipe for a great weekend :)
We planned her trip to ensure that she was in town for a UCF tailgate.
I'll be the first to admit, I'm the worst UCF fan in the world.
I didn't even know who we were playing until we were almost there.
Just because I got my degree there it does not mean I have to care about the team.
However, if you give me an excuse to day drink, I'm your #1 fan :)
Shout out to Kate & Whitney for being my dance partners during the day ;)

After a LOOONG day, we got home to find out that a couple of our friends were engaged.
We headed to the neighborhood bar to grab drinks and celebrate.
They are a beautiful couple and the ring is just gorgeous.
SO happy for them :)
All I wanted to do Sunday was relax and decorate for Halloween. Instead, I finished a DIY project I started awhile back for my Mom, took care of my sick Nephew and got some Halloween costume shopping done.

There's my weekend in a nutshell.
Can't wait to see you again, weekend. 97-hours & counting (down)!

Hello, football season!

Here we are once again on the cusp of football season.

Football season makes me giddy like a little schoolgirl.

I love everything about it- tailgating, drinking, playing games, camaraderie, and I can't lie, the rivalry gets me going, too.

The only thing that can weigh down my mood is not having a festive game day outfit.

The kicker is that my heart belongs to two teams

Growing up I was an avid Florida State fan due to my Father. We despised the Gators so not much has changed in that department. My love for the Seminoles eventually brought me to Tallahassee, as well as my best friend.

A girl just can't live in that town very long. It's like being in love with a guy who lives somewhere that you could NEVER see yourself moving. You eventually have to part ways.

I moved home to Orlando after 3 years in Tally and finished my degree at UCF. I'll also be attending this lovely establishment for my graduate school.

Orlando has my heart, so there should be room for UCF in it, too.

I just haven't been able to mentally get into the games at UCF. Hopefully that will one day change.

I'm pretty sure FSU will always be my team, regardless of my Alma Mater.

I'll settle for pitchin' a tent out on Memory Mall and sippin' chuggin' beers with friends. Doesn't sound half bad, huh?

My cousin is attending USF in the Fall. Family weekend happens to be against FSU so my entire family is going over there for the weekend to tailgate.

Most likely, I'll be attending the FSU vs. Boston game at Florida State on Oct. 13th in Tally.

Not to mention, I'll hopefully be attending every UCF homegame minus a few weekends that I'm already booked.

As you can see, outfits are needed.

Still obsessing over this dress from last season that you can find over at Twelve SaturdaysThey only have large left, bummer. Prime example of how you can miss out if you wait to long.

All of these can be dressed up with belts, flowers and accessories.

I'll post back when I find some cute stuff in person. Online shopping does me no good when I can't figure out what my size would be.

What is your favorite game day go to?

All Hallow's Eve

Another weekend has come and gone.

I spent my weekend tending to my sister's broken heart, only to have it be put back together again before the weekend was over

Friday night we went to one of my girlfriends house and played Clue. Many years have passed since I last played that game so let's just say I was a little rusty.

Saturday we went tailgating at my Alma Mater. We opted out of going to the game so we 'watched' it at a bar close by. Let's be honest, it was a group of girls, we spent the majority of the time chatting.

My plan was to hit up a two Halloween parties that night but I was pretty worn out from the days festivities that I almost missed both. My sister decided she wanted to go around 11 so we got ready quickly, swapped past costumes and made an appearance at a friends party. We spent the night playing beer pong, flip cup & drink while you think (my favorite). I'm glad we went.

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with my little sweet pea. They were just about out of pumpkins so we had to settle on a mini one with no carving potential.

My sweet boyfriend is taking me to the outlets tomorrow to do a little shopping. Here is my inspiration for my trip.

I'm just loving the pops of color. I just can't help that i'm obsessing over any accessory in teal or coral.

Hopefully I can snag myself a wrapped watch, like this one here

Trick or treating tomorrow. Can you believe it, I STILL don't have a costume. No worries though, I just want to see my nephew all dressed up!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Thanks for another great link up Jamie

I'm loving that Halloween is on Monday and I have a few great parties to go to. Note to self: Must find costumes!

I'm loving that there is a UCF home game on Saturday & i'm going tailgating with one of my fabulous girlfriends. This is us at one of last years game.

I'm loving that today is Wednesday & there are only two days left in the work week.

I'm loving that I no longer have a second job. My nights and weekends are all mine. Deep down I knew how great it would feel to be able to say that, but it feels better than I ever could have imagined.

I'm loving that one our friends just gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl and I got to meet her today. She is gorgeous!

I'm loving that I finally started blogging. I told one of my friends that I wouldn't know what to talk about if I started blogging because my thoughts are always all over the place. I talk about random things all the time. She said 'That is exactly why you should blog.' So thank you to her :)

I'm loving these home decor ideas from Pinterest

LOVE this Tiffany blue office

Please note the tray ceilings, they make such a difference. I must have those in my future home.

Have a great week everyone :)

Let the Blogging Commence

After devoting many hours following the blogs of some pretty magnificent females, I have decided to start compiling my thoughts and life experiences on a blog of my own. I can't promise that I will always have something worthwhile to talk about. By no means do I live a glamorous life, but I do however believe that I have a many things to be thankful for.

After taking the scenic route to my degree, I graduated in May from The University of Central Florida. Finding motivation to go to school did not come easy to me. I spent 3 years figuring out what I wanted to do and having TOO much fun in the mean time. But, I did it and it will forever be one of the greatest feelings of accomplishments I will ever have, that is until I receive my Master's! ;)

After practically stalking Izea for months, I got a job there part-time. I would be lying if I wasn’t praying that it will turn into a full-time position in the near future. Anywho, it's a social media marketing company located right downtown.  Everything about the company is what I would classify as a ‘dream job’ and i'm so thankful that one of my good friends was able to score me an interview and ultimately get me the job!

I have a weakness for nail polish, shoes, clothes, accessories and just about everything that a normal girl loves.  My nephew and my boyfriend are the two most important people in my life and you will get to hear much more about the both of them, and myself, in post to come. Ta Ta for now!

So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.” – Marilyn Monroe
