IPSY Glam Bag!

My June IPSY Glam Bag is here! This is only time of the month where I anxiously await the mailman's arrival because he is bringing my something other than the typical mounds of bills.
1. Everything that came in this month's glam bag!
2. J. Cat Beauty UN13 Eyelashes & Glue ($4) - UN13 Perfect length and density.
3. NYX Blush in Spice ($5) - Sheer, silky color that creates a natural glow that claims to stay on your face for hours.
4. J. Cat Sparkling Cream Palette ($5) - I'm not a huge sparkle person but that also means that I'm not going to purchase a sparkly palette. However, I have found certain occasions where I wanted to add some sparkle to my look so I can already tell this is going to come in handy. Perhaps at a concert that I'm attending on Friday? I think so.
5. Chella Ivory Lace Highlighting Pencil ($18) - Visibly lift your eyes when applied to the brow bone,
dark circles, blemishes and red spots.
6. Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy ($12) - Creamy, moisturizing highly pigmented lip pencil glides on
smoothly and helps extend the wear of your lipstick.

Two of my friends signed up for IPSY's Glam Bag after listening to me rave about it every month so they also sent me a BaubleBar O-Ring Stud Wrap Bracelet. She has officially been added to my daily arm wear starting today!
This month, I scored $50 worth of items AND a new bracelet!
As always, you can sign up for IPSY for only $10/mo and you too can be receiving this monthly bag of surprise goodies.

Glam Bag

It's that time of the month again...

ISPY's Glam Bag is here!
1. My Goodies, My Goodies, My Goodies, ALL my goodies!
2. Zoya Shimmering Pink Nail Polish ($9)
3. Mirabella Color Sheer in Posy ($22)
4. Yaby Concealer Refill ($5): I haven't used this just yet, but I was in need of some new concealer so I'll definitely be trying this soon.
5. Anastasia Clear Brow Gel ($22): I've also tested the Chella Eyebrow gel in the past and this one bows it out of the water. I give this product a thumbs up!
5. Pacifica Island Vanilla & Tahitian Gardenia Perfume Roll-On ($12): Honestly, when I first rolled this on my wrist, it smelled like straight alcohol, but after a few minutes I could definitely smell a nice light garden scent.

In April, they ran out of the pink & white bag that they were giving out so they sent me a pretty blue one. They emailed me letting me know they would be getting more of the pink in and would include it in my May bag. They also included a beautiful Urban Decay eye shadow for my "troubles." How sweet is that?
The winning streak continues

January's Glam Bag

Check out the goodies that Glam Bag sent me this month!
1. Cute Navy Bag - it's taller than the ones in the past and has a neat star pattern inside.
2. Martini Nail Polish in Frappe ($13) - This polish reminds me of Mr & Mrs
by OPI or, my personal favorite, Essie's Fiji. Looking forward to trying it.
3. Big Sexy Hair ($6) - Surprisingly, I've never tried this hairspray but have always wanted to.
Adding it to an attempted hairstyle this weekend :)
4. Pacifica Tuscan Body Butter ($7) - My Nephew and I put this on last night. It has a beautiful citrus scent.
5. Jose Maran Argan Oil ($14) - This product doubles as a hair revitalizer and a daily skin moisturizes.
It can help your split ends and give you a youthful glow. Where do I sign up?
6. Soho Concealer Brush ($6) - If you follow me on Pinterest, I have been looking at the concealer process.
So, this couldn't come at a better time. My skin will surely enjoy the silky nylon bristles, too.

Without including the cute bag that comes with it, these products total $46
if they were bought separately, but I got them all for $10 including shipping!
I've said it a million times and I'll say it again - GO GLAM! :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Can you believe it's Wednesday already?
Neither can I, but you will not hear any complaints out of this girl.

My first what I'm loving Wednesday topic will be just that. I'm loving that it's already Wednesday and we're almost through the week and onto my favorite part of every week. I think you can figure out what that would be :)

I'm loving...

... my new Maybeline BB cream (Medium). I would highly recommend getting your hands on some BB cream if you haven't already. I've only ever tried the Dr. Jart so I was pleasantly surprised that the Maybeline one worked just as well and for a fraction of the price. Score!
... that my boyfriend has off this weekend so we get to spend some QT together. Love these weekends!

... that I have some time to read a new book. If you ladies have any suggestions on a good book that you've read, please send them my way!

... Song Pop. If you haven't downloaded it yet, do it NOW! It's the next Words with Friends, Draw Something, you get my drift :) Addicting!

... that I went to Home Depot last Friday to get materials to make the extra large Jenga that was made famous by college students tailgating. Girls got get ready for football season, ya heard?

The one below is similar to what I'm making. I'll include photos and instructions on how to make this fun game just as soon as I finish painting the blocks in my school colors.
... that I got the BEST news in the mail yesterday. If you know me pretty well, you would know that I've been dealing with the IRS for the past few months because they took away my education credits from 2010 and sent me a bill for over $2,600. Since you can only speak to these people after being on hold for over an hour and you never get the same rep, it's been a nightmare to get them all the information they wanted to prove that I was entitled my education credit and I was, in fact, in school during that time. Let's just say 4 faxes, over 8 hour long (or more) phone conversations and months of stressing. Today I got a letter saying that the entire thing has been closed and I owe nothing. Finally!

... SO many other things. I just can't fit it all into one post :)

Summer Style

Down here in the South it is horribly hot at this time of year. Rather than post all kinds of gorgeous outfits that are not suitable to wear right now, I thought I'd show some outfits that keep you away from heatstroke danger but still look chic.
Oh, one more thing. Have you seen this little gem over at J.Crew? Quite honestly, I've wanted it for months.
Gorgeous, yes. But it will set you back a pretty penny at $150 a pop.

Insert ebay. Sorry J.Crew, these things are going for a tenth of the price on ebay and in some cases MUCH less. Head on over here to find yours.

I'm still trying to decide which color I want to purchase, but I love them all.

Birchbox & Shave Club

This month's Birchbox totally put my reservations that I had after last month's box to rest.
Check out my goodies!
1. Mini bottle of Wonderstruck perfume by Taylor Swift
2. TheBalm cosmetics Stainiac - A tinted gel that is used for your cheeks (as blush) or your lips (as gloss).
3. Stila one step Bronzer: A full size bottle of this bronzing serum that is a trio of complimentary pigments to make the perfect glow. Really looking forward to using this.
4. Comodynes Self-Tanning Intensive & Uniform Color - Napkin sized towelettes comes with a moisturizing formula that works with the natural proteins of your skin to give you a convincing tan.
5. Luna bar - The whole nutrition bar for women in the form of a peanut butter cookie.

Now onto another gem that I found :)
So here I was two weeks ago dreading going to buy new razors in the next few days. It was finally that time again - the one of four times a year (if that) that I splurge on this overpriced purchase. While scrolling down my news feed, I came across The Dollar Shave Club that one of my distant friends had posted. I was skeptical, but most of all intrigued. After analyzing the website and looking for "the catch". You have 3 options to choose from:
$1 a month for a 2 blade handle and 5 cartridges
$6 a month for a 4 blade handle and 4 cartridges
$9 a month for a 6 blade handle and 3 cartridges

For your first month, you get the handle and the cartridges and every month after you just get the cartridges. If you want to upgrade or lower package to a lesser price, you can at anytime. PLUS you'll get another free handle if you upgrade or downgrade your package. Not to mention, you can cancel your membership at any time!

I figured I had nothing to lose, so I did it and received the package a few days later. I'm now the proud owner of the handle with 4 cartridges for just $6 a month. It works perfectly and I would definitely recommend it to others, clearly ; ) If your interested, you can get more information here.

Dresses under $30

Just thought I should share some dresses I found at the always reliable Forever 21

All of these are under $30 and I thought they were great dresses that you could dress up or dress down.

I thought a blazer and some snazzy accessories would be a nice touch to these strapless ensembles

Happy Saturday Lovelies :)

Tuesday Ramblings

My shopping trip was a success. I got 2 pairs of boots, including the ones below, 3 pairs of jeans and a shirt. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any coral or teal pieces. Come out, come out, wherever you are.

On my way out of H&M, I saw this sweet sweater and I was too lazy to go back to the register to purchase it. Now I'll just have to waste more time sometime this week to go back and get it. You can never have enough classic white tops.

My little munchkin did well at his second annual trick or treating adventure. He was Tigger- was he not the cutest little tiger you have ever seen? Ah, I just love that child.

Book club is back and in full affect. We picked Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult. Jodi Picoult books are simply my favorite read. Growing up I always wanted to be a lawyer so I love she incorporates some type of court case in every book. I can never put her books down and I don't expect this one to be any different. Glad I have some extra time on my hands.

I'm itching to change my bedroom color scheme. Unfortunately, because we rent, I don't want to paint the walls only to paint them back in 5 months when our lease is up. Since I am the complete opposite of a procrastinator, I have started my planning now.

Black, gray and charcoal will be my new color palette.

This is a starting off point for my plan.

I want the accent wall above the bed to be charcoal gray matte, with charcoal gray gloss using this design. Not sure what/if anything I would do with the other walls, definitely something light to avoid making the space look to cramped.

That was probably the most random post ever but that is what was on my mind :)

There is always time for shopping

Online shopping is such a gift, yet sometimes so frustrating.

I can always find a million outfits I love while surfing the web. Once I get my package though, nothing fits me correctly.

Do I ever learn my lesson? Of course not! I'm a girl who loves shopping but is always on the go. I can't help it, I will never give up on convenience.

My friend/co-worker/desk neighbor Kate showed me this website yesterday and they are having a HUGE sale. Like, one I can't bring myself to pass up.

Say hello to asos

Would you believe it if I told you that all of these dresses are under $40, most under $30?

This one is a bit special and it can be yours (or mine) for only $41. MUST have.

Oh boot season, how I have missed you so.

I'll be sporting part of my boot collection for the better part of a week. If i'm lucky enough for this cold front to last longer than just this weekend, I would be one thankful girl.

Here is the playlist that will be on repeat for my work day :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I’m loving that i'm doing my first link up with Jamie

I’m loving that I got my shift picked up at the restaurant today and I get to go home and get some rest since I’m not feeling so hot today… yet again! I can’t think of anything I would rather do then get in bed and watch snapped marathons until I pass out at around, hmmm, 8.

I’m loving looking at these adorable dresses that I found today on forever21.com.

I’m absolutely loving this proposal. Who doesn’t love flashmobs and dream of one day being a part of one? Hmm, I guess that’s just me! But, this is the sweetest most thoughtful and well-planned proposal that I have personally ever seen.

This gorgeous weather that we are having in Orlando is making my days more enjoyable . It’s a cool 75 degrees and I’m loving every second of it.

Most of all, I’m loving that I get to see my nephew immediately after leaving work today. So, today is an extra special Wednesday :)
