Friday Letters

It's time for Friday Letters with Ashley :)

Dear People Magazine, Congratulations for finally getting your act together and giving the Sexiest Man Alive title to its rightful owner. Only took you 7 years to get up to speed with me :)
Dear Twilight, When I heard about the twist at the end of the movie, I was skeptical but as sad as it was, I'm glad they switched it up. Happy that they did such an incredible job on the movie, sad that it's the end of an era. I'll miss you forever, Edward. Bella, not so much.
Dear Friday, I love you but wish you came 3 hours later today. Mama needed to get catch more zZZ's before waking up. I was still dreaming of Edward.

Dear Alcohol, I'm looking forward to going to the Margarita Ball tomorrow, however, please be easy on me. I don't want to spend my Sunday passed out all day. Actually, now that I think about it, that sounds quite nice.

Dear Blog, Sorry I've been neglecting you lately. I've just been in a funk. I just simply haven't been in the mood. Does this happen to anyone else?

Dear Bank Account, I'm getting pretty tired of sending you letters. Why can't you just listen to me once and skyrocket. I'm getting sick of stressing about money every single day of my life. Quite frankly, it gets old.

Dear Mema, I'm glad that you made it through another surgery like a champ. You're the strongest woman I know and I'm so glad we get more unexpected time with you.
{Wednesday night before surgery}

Dear Boyfriend, Thank you for being so amazing lately. You light up my life.. when you're not pissing me off ;)

Dear Hair, GROW! Seriously how many more times do I have to beg this of you. I've been taking Biotin, not regularly, but I haven't cut you in over a year.  You'd think I'd at least have long broken hair. Having to use extensions so often gets rather annoying.

Dear Life, I truly do love you, even though I complain about bills, family issues, my hair not growing and a million other things daily.

Just gotta remember this quote I shared on my Facebook a few days ago:
What we take for granted someone else is praying for.
Oh, how true it is.

It's OK Thursday

It's OK

...that I have zero weekend festivities planned. I'm perfectly content with that knowing how much I have coming up in the next few months.

...that I cried this morning when I found out that Guiliana and Bill officially became parents to Edward Duke Rancic. They are two of the most in love, successful, good hearted people and I don't think anyone deserves this more. After the tough year they had, I'm thrilled that the surrogacy process worked for them.
...that I've had a gift card to the mall since my birthday at the beginning of July and I still haven't used it. Who am I?

...that I constantly feel like I never have anything to wear lately. Must use said gift card to  update my wardrobe soon. Maybe I just made myself some weekend plans :)

...that I've been having a mental battle with the cut and color of my hair the past few weeks. I badly need a change, but I'm not daring when it comes to color. And my hair needs to be longer, not shorter so we may run into some problems with the cut.

...that I'm dying for 9:00 to hit so I'm home watching Big Brother. The episode last night was insane in the membrane.
...that I'm completely over my blog layout. I really want something with a more vibrant and bright feeling. Instead, I feel somber when going to my page. No beuno.

Link up over at Amber or Neely's blog to share what is just ok with you today :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

What I'm Loving Wednesday with Jamie

I'm loving that my nephew is spending the night with me tonight.

I'm loving that it's Wednesday. Only two more days of waking up early until the weekend. It's odd, I still find myself waking up just as early on the weekends, but something about it not being forced wakes me up more.

I'm loving this picture I found that could have easily been made by me :)
I'm loving that this weekend is Cinco de Mayo. To be honest, I want to do nothing but sleep but I'm sure the next 72-hours will change my mind.

I'm loving Fifty Shades of Grey. I said it in one of my last posts and I'll say it again - this book is incredible. I finally got some time to read last night after getting home at almost midnight. So happy to say that I finished the first book and I'm dying to start the second. Granted, I had to stay up to 2 in the morning, but it was well worth the lack of sleep. Way to leave me hangin', EJ James.

I'm loving that I'm Jessica Simpson has finally given birth. I'm not loving the name though, Maxwell Drew Johnson. Did I mention it was a little girl? What's up with celebs always wanted to have something ridiculously different? Not a fan. While we're at it, I would have preferred the last name to be Lachey ;)

I'm loving that we went to a new place for dinner last night. Truth be told, the most frustrating thing about everyday is agreeing where/what we will eat. When a new place opens, I know that will be one less day of decision making. The bonus was the the food was good and my wine came in this nifty little bottle - plus, it was TWO glasses :)
Happy Hump Day! What are you loving this Wednesday?

The Ship of Dreams

I had a different post prepared for tonight, but I saw Titanic on and I haven't been able to think straight since it started.

Can you blame me? This is what I've been looking at

I can't honestly say I'm upset about it.

The only problem I have is that every time I see this movie, I can't help but wish that it would end differently. I want Jack to live in the end. I feel like it was all for nothing.

For whatever reason, I've always been oddly obsessed with the story of the Titanic. And right when the movie started, I realized that come April, it will be exactly 100 years since the Titanic sank.

In Orlando, we have a place called Wonder Works. It has all kinds of neat things to see and do. They have a tank of water for you to put your hand in to feel what the water was like on that night. My hand can't even stand it in there for longer than a few seconds, I can't imagine what those people felt like that night.

Well now that I've thoroughly depressed myself, I'm going to hit up a few games of Scramble with Friends and lay down.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's time for What I'm Loving Wednesday with Jamie- yay!

I'm loving that today I get my tax return back!!! :)

I'm loving that it's Dancercise day at the office. I'm excited for anther full cardio workout while getting my groove on ;)

I'm loving that MyFitnessPal says that if I continue eating the way I have been, I'll be the size I want in approximately 5-6 weeks. That makes me very happy. Plus, I just stepped on the scale and after only a week of eating healthy, and a few workouts, I've lost 3 pounds- go me!

I'm loving this weeks nail color. It's been overcast & gloomy the past few days so I thought I'd spice it up with a pretty spring color.

I'm loving that I got to spend so much time with my boyfriend this last weekend. We watched 3 movies in 3 different nights. It was just what I wanted/needed.

I'm loving these beautiful outfits. I wonder when I'm going to have the time money to start collecting all the pieces that are on my Pinterest boards, particularly My Closet Wishlist.

That will be a very happy day for this girl :)

For all my reality TV junkies

I'm loving that I got to watch the RHOBH Reunion part 2 last night. I thought Kyle and Adrienne were unusually hateful. There is clearly a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't get to see. I can't believe there will be a 3rd episode for a reunion, although I'm not complaining!

I'm not loving that Kail cheated on Jordan in last night's episode on Teen Mom. I don't think Jordan is the right one for her, but I also don't think Joe is either. I'm pretty surprised how the Corey & Leah divorce drama went down. Now she is engaged to Robbie and it's been less than a year since they split up! Not cool Leah, not cool.

The Challenge- Battle of the Ex's is tonight- yayy! I want CT & Diem to win, for obvious reasons. He is gorgeous & I think she is the sweetest.

I'm loving that the week that I have been waiting for is coming. The Vow comes out on Friday. The boif  is joining me. I hope he doesn't mind me drooling over Channing the entire movie.  I'm sure he'll be doing the same with Rachel McAdams, so we're even.

I'm loving that in honor of this movie, our monthly calendar that all the girls get is this picture:
How dreamy is he?

I'm loving that Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out on Saturday. What a great week of movies!

I'm loving that Nick & Jess are playing throughout the office right now. I still believe, too. Make it happen and I'll die happy.

Out of all the superbowl commercials, I'm LOVING the M&M's commercial

Sweet Escape

The weekend has come and gone.

Tonight, since the boyfriend has to work, I'm hanging out with my pal Vino, painting my nails & catching up on The Bachelor.

I've been a terrible Bachelor fan lately, so I'm making up for it.

On to my weekend update. I was thrilled that my boyfriend had off this weekend so we got to spend some much needed quality time together.

We decided to try a new place to eat on Friday night.

We went to a German restaurant, complete with Das Boot & musicians getting the crowd amped up enough to run through the restaurant. It was a true German experience.

I went all out & ordered the infamous Wiener Schnitzel. Ok, so I wasn't the biggest fan in the world but I would go back for the experience alone.

I don't even know what one of my sides were, but I chose to not taste it. The boys LOVED the beer though. I opted for the safer option, Chard :)

We then hit up the bowling alley for cosmic night. I didn't do too hot, but we had fun none-the-less.

Saturday, I went to my little cousins 4th birthday party, got some errands done & went for a bike ride.

Then watched the Brady take on Tebow at a place called Pint in Lake Mary.

I thought my stacked fries were to cool not to capture a pic.
We then hopped around to Liam Fitzpatrick's, an amazing Irish bar, and listened to the Dueling Pianos & then hit up World of Beer.

We had a perfect lazy Sunday. Watched the games at a friends house, ordered pizza, had a bon fire, complete with Smores & played catch phrase. The only thing that would have made it better is if my team won ;)

The boys burnt two Christmas trees in the fire.
I even managed to catch the majority of The Golden Globes. I thought Ricky Gervais played it a little safe, which I was a little upset with, but it was still a good show.

My picks for best dressed go to...

Ladies first, of course.

Elle Macpherson looked stunning inher  Zac Posen gown.

Sarah Michelle Geller in Monique Lhuillier. Most critics tore her apart when she said her 2-year old daughter picked it out, but I personally loved the pop of color. It was different and I thought she looked fabulous. Come on people, it's not the Oscars. You're allowed to have a little fun with it.

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang. The fishtail bottom design is gorgeous.

FINALLY- Ashton shaved :)
Leo always wears a classic tuxedo & always looks awesome.

Last but not least, my future husband, Channing. Who would look perfect covered in mud.

What did you guys think of the show?

A love story featuring TSwift

Sooooo apparently I missed the boat on this one.

I'd like to introduce you to my new obsession

Some of you are probably wondering NEW OBSESSION?

Unfortunately, yes.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved when a new song of hers came out and would belt it in the shower anytime I heard them.

But, it wasn't to this point until lunchtime Tuesday when a co-worker offered to share her TSwift playlist with me via Grooveshark

For those of you that aren't familiar with Grooveshark, let's just say, it's the best thing that has ever happened to me. If you like a song, enter in the name, add it to your playlist, listen as much as you want. BONUS: you don't have to hear songs you don't like and you don't run out of skips!

Sorry Pandora, but the second I found Grooveshark, we had to part ways.

Back to my story.

I ended up creating my own playlist so I could just to add the songs that I already knew or had heard once before. I particularly fell in love with Enchanted and Ours.

I pride myself on being the go-to-girl for celebrity gossip/news and I remembered hearing that one of her songs was about meeting someone and feeling so in awe that she went home and started writing the song immediately.

So, naturally, when I found Enchanted, I had to know the entire story.

Just in case there is someone else out there that hasn't heard the entire story, I thought it was my duty, as the new #1 fan, to share it with you.

You're welcome

When the album came out Taylor said that Enchanted:

"That song is sort of about pining away for if you're ever going to see someone again, walking away too early," she told me. "It was about this guy that I met in New York City, and I had talked to him on email before, but I had never met him. And meeting him, it was just this overwhelming feeling of: I really hope that you're not inlove with somebody. And the whole entire way home, I just remember the glittery New York City buildings passing by and then just sitting there thinking, am I ever gonna talk to this person again? It was that feeling of pining away for a romance that may never even happen, but all you have is this hope that it could, and the fear that it never will."

Have a listen

Taylor also includes the lyrics in the song. All of the lyrics are lowercased, except for a few letters that spell the name of the person the song was about.

The letters for this song spell out ADAM-- Adam Young from Owl City. You might remember him from the '09 song Fireflies.

He was, of course, flattered and responded with this:

"I'll be the first to admit I'm a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you--a sort of a 'reply' to the breathtaking song on your current record. You are a true princess from a dreamy fairy tale, and above all, I just want you to know...I was enchanted to meet you too."

AND, this:

A cover of Enchanted-- with a little additional lyrics throughout.

If I've lost you-- my favorite part is at the end when he says "I was never in love with someone else. I never had somebody waiting on me. 'Cause you were all of my dreams come true. And I just wish you knew, Taylor I was so in love with you.”

Sorry, but is that not just the sweetest little love story you have ever heard?

I feel like my life will never be the same.

Just in case you are now obsessed, here is an interview where Adam spoke so sweetly of Taylor, I just had to share.

& that, my friends, is my new obsession

Here is my playlist if you want to fall in love also :)
