Liebster :)

Maggie over at Glitz n Grammar gave me with the Liebstar Award. Of course, I feel completely unworthy but it is so nice to see that someone is actually enjoying my rambles. So, again, thank you Maggie!

I'm new to blogging, but I'm really loving all the amazing people I'm meeting through the blogging world.  The ladies I chose have really made my start to blogging so a fun experience!

Thank you ladies :)

Liebster means "favorite" or "dearest" in German.  This award, which originated in Germany, recognizes up and coming bloggers!  In accepting this award, I agree to:
  • Thank the person who gave me the award and link back to their blog
  • Copy and paste the award to my blog
  • Reveal the 5 blogs I have chosen to award and let them know by commenting on their blogs
  • Pay it forward to 5 blogs

Breaking Dawn

I had planned to write a long updating blog post tonight, but my eye lids had other ideas in mind.

I definitely want to give a huge THANK YOU to Maggie for the sweet award she gave me. I promise to pay it forward just as soon as I catch up on my zzZZ's :)

This quick post will just be a quick update on my opinion of Breaking Dawn. Although I didn't go see it on Thursday night, I did finally go on Sunday, and then again tonight :)

I thought it was INCREDIBLE. I loved how they stuck to the book so perfectly. In my opinion, it was seriously the best one yet. Without a doubt. \

Playing the music from the first movie definitely helped evoke all those feelings back in me from when I first fell in love with the books and then the first movie.  I don't think they could have done it better.

I'm off work until next Tuesday. Perks of having the best job, ever ;)

Bridesmaid dress shopping tomorrow with Kate. I hope we can find the perfect dresses for us girls. One step closer to having everything checked off her long list of wedding to do's!

Toodles!

Fill in the Blank Friday

 1. A nervous habit I have is stepping from side to side. I have ADD as it is, but when I'm nervous, I do NOT stand still.

2.   Something that makes me sad is  that I just found out a woman from Orlando turned up missing yesterday. Here is the flyer in case anyone happens to see anything suspicious.

3.  Today I am thankful for my nephew, SHOCKER? I think not. He can do no wrong in my book and just has a way of making me happy by just thinking about him.

4. My favorite room in my house is without a doubt, my living room. Especially now that I have my Christmas decorations up.

5.  I can't stand terrible drivers, inconsiderate people, people with no common sense, and people that just don't 'get it.' If you 'get it' then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

6.  If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would probably start my Christmas shopping or go to dinner. I'm a fat kid at heart, that is for certain.

7.  The last person I hung out with was Kate. We had a good laugh today about this ecard.

Cracks me up!

Happy Friday to all :)

It's Ok Thursday!

It's OK..

that I'm 25 and excited about seeing Breaking Dawn. Honestly, I'm more upset that I haven't already bought my tickets. My friend and I are still contemplating going tonight. Personally, I think being exhausted all day at work tomorrow is a small price to pay for seeing Mr. Cullen tonight.

It's ok.. that I made this back when the first Twilight movie came out.

I may or may not have dressed up as Edward Cullen's bride for the New Moon premiere. In my defense, that was 2 years ago! Now it is no secret how obsessed I am was.

It's ok...

that I didn't go get Essie Marshmallow last night as planned. I settled for Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Gray Area. Honestly, this is one of my favorite brands of nail polish. Not too thin, not too thick.

Sorry, it's a tad bit on the blurry side. They also look a little darker in pictures. I think it's a perfect dark color for fall :)

It's ok that I had a breakfast burrito for a marketplace right near my office and I have felt sick ever since. Breakfast foods and I do not mix. Generally, I stick with Peanut Butter toast (I know, how old am I?) or chocolate glazed doughnuts.

It's ok that I still haven't uploaded pictures from this weekend. I need to get with it.

It's ok that my boyfriend and I are both dying to buy a house. We started looking around a little. Come to find out, we don't agree on ANYTHING.  I want a screened in pool, he wants a pool without a screen. I want Stainless Steel appliances, he wants white or black (white, seriously?) I mean I know I'm supposed to get my way. I'm a girl, we care more about these things, but he is not as easy to convince.

That is all for now!

Thanks for stopping by :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'll have an update of my no plans weekend that turned into a ton of fun, combined with lots of alcohol later :)

I'm loving that we had book club last night and it was a huge success! Wine, fruit, cheese, bruschetta, crackers, spinach dip, and lots of discussion.  Our next book is by Jodi, yet again. No complaints here, she is one of my favorite authors. I'm not sure what it is about yet, reading the back is a no-no for me, but I'm sure it will be splendid.

My friend, Steph, being super classy with ice in her wine ;)

I'm absolutely loving Essie- Marshmallow :)

I'm loving these pictures found on Pinterest. They had me crying yesterday.

This last one realistically could have been my invention. When we shop with my nephew, it is near impossible to try on clothes unless we take turns.

I'm loving that I get to watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills tonight without any interruptions.

I'm loving my gorgeous nephew. We got to spend the entire day on Monday together and I loved every second it. He melts my heart every time I think about him.

I'm loving that I completely decorated my apartment for Christmas, while simultaneously listening to Christmas music. The Grinch is definitely not one of my ancestors.

I'm loving that I actually did a few DIY Christmas crafts that I found on Pinterest. Pictures soon to follow.

I'm loving that I was just reminded that Thanksgiving is next week. For some reason, I was thinking we still had another work week to go.

Adding to that love, is the fact that we get Wednesday, Thursday & Friday off, including the following Monday.

What are you loving today?

Friday Fun

Today is the day that I have looked forward to all week. For no reason other than I have no plans, no prior engagements, no commitments, I'm free to go wherever the wind takes me. The wind is strongly pulling me towards going to see my nephew for a few hours and then curling up to finish the book that I started this week.

In honor of Veterans Day, I thought I would share this hilarious story that Kate showed me. Mind you, I may have missed the bus on this by a year or longer. I still think it is hilarious.

Now that you have had a good laugh, here are some outfits that I would like to recreate in the coming weeks. I WILL master the look, even if the colors are a tad different. Eventually I would like to start putting up some OOD's,I just have to remember to take a picture in the morning-- I'm not making any promises ;)

My friends know that I don't wear make-up. I put a little powder and blush and off I go. Before you die  of horror, let me say that I haven't always been like that. I used to go to MAC 4 times a week to get my make-up done before I went out, just because I loved how amazing they did my eyes.

I just go through phases where I can't leave the house without make-up and then some where I haven't worn any eye make-up, except maybe 8 times, in 3 years. Cray cray but TRUE!

Back to my train of thought, these pictures via Pinterest, have made me think that it's about time to change back into the old me, sans partying all the time.

I leave you with this amazing idea, that I'm sure all of my Pinterest lovers have seen, of the final photos of the Bride and Groom on their wedding day.

I'm off to our neighborhood bar to have a few cocktails with my boyfriends friends and their girlfriends. Unfortunately, my boyfriend has to work. BOO! Some of my girlfriends will be showing up after they get off work so it looks like I'll be having a fun night after all.

**Please note, I started this post earlier today and ended it later on. I did finish my book though :)

Have a lovely Friday!

It's Ok Thursday!

First, I would like to say a BIG Happy 236th Birthday to the Marine Corps & all of the troops that have, or currently are, fighting for our great nation. It is very easy to forget all of the things that are going on when we are here just living our normal day-to-day lives. So it's nice to have a day to be able to stop and remember all the men and women that risk their lives on a daily basis for our freedom.

It's Thursday & you know what that means. Time for some Ok's with Amber and Neely

It's ok that there is still one day left in the work week. Tomorrow is still Friday :)

It's ok that I'm really not liking the dress I wore to work. I loved it when I bought it, not so much now that I have worn it. That always seems to happen to me!

It's ok that besides a little downtown bar hoping Sunday Funday outing with one of my friends, I have absolutely no plans for the weekend. Obviously, I'll be spending the majority of my time with my nephew but no concrete plans have been established.

It's ok that The Band Perry won 75% of the awards last night, well maybe not, but that's what it seemed like. Don't get me wrong, I like their song, I just thought there were many other deserving people.

It's ok that the Margarita Ball is 2 weeks away and I have no friends that will be in town to attend. Crossing my fingers that something changes :)

It's ok that I missed a pretty awesome wedding this weekend. The pictures just went up and while looking at them I could picture myself with a drink in hand having just as much fun as it looks like everyone was having.

It's ok that Pinterest keeps giving me errors. It has been happening all week and it is making me a very unhappy girl. I miss the bug free Pinterest. Come back to me!

It's ok that I have not been very good at getting up in the morning. I literally sleep through 2 alarms. Luckily, I'm not late but I also don't get the luxury of not being in a rush every morning. I enjoy my time in the morning, I do not enjoy rushing.
