The P.I.N.K. Method

OK Ladies- I need some help!

I have never been a person that cared about their weight because, luckily, I never had to. I was blessed with an extremely fast metabolism. Well fast forward to my mid 20's, it's just not burning off the fat the way I'd like it too.

For the past few weeks, I have been extremely depressed with my weight. Ideally, I would like to lose 10-15 pounds over the next few months, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that.

This brings me to my topic. Has anyone heard of the P.I.N.K. Method? Apparently, it is a new diet program that is designed for women.

The package includes:
*Nutrition Guide
*3 workout DVDs, each featuring 3 workout
routines + Bonus DVD
* PINK Method Certificate
*PINK bracelet for daily motivation

Question is.. Do you really need to spend the $80 on this type of system. It provides little detail on the food you will be required to eat.

Let me just say, I do think a plan would be the best for me. I don't have a gym membership and I lack motivation to go tanning, you think getting my butt up to go to the gym will be easier, DOUBTFUL. So, I like the idea of having DVD's.  Did I mention that I get winded by walking from my car to my apartment? I need to start off slow and work my way up.

A meal plan is what I need, but I don't know what to do for my body type. Dieting will be the hardest part of all. I wish someone could make me a plan that isn't completely limited. I can't help it, I eat like I weigh 700 pounds.

Coincidence that my new obsession with losing weight comes on the same day as the Victoria Secret Fashion Show airs? I think not. I need all the motivation I can get and seeing these ladies tonight will definitely get me on track.

Any suggestions on meal plans, home workouts?

Maybe even a cleanse? I'm new to all of this so anything you have information you would like to share, I'd love to hear it. I'm willing to try ANYTHING!

  1. I lack motivation to tan (and I can't bring myself to spend the money anymore), hence why I'm such a white girl. ha ha

However, I do have a gym membership! I'm the girl who used to hate running "because it made my side hurt," so if I can do it, anyone can! Make sure you find a gym with tv's on the machine...it makes it a lot easier! I bought Zumba for Wii but I never use it; for some reason I don't like working out at home.

As far as the diet goes, I have no advice--I eat what I want and justify it by working out. ha ha.

Please share any valuable information you get!

  2. A great tool to keep track of your food intake is myfitnesspal.com. Shows you everything from fat, protein, sodium, etc. and when you enter your workout for the day, the program shows you how much more you should be eating as a result. Who doesn't want to be told they have to eat more, right? LOL

Also, in the past 9 months I really devoted myself to running and have lost almost 15 pounds as a result. But not everyone loves running....so just find something you enjoy and stick to it! I do DVD workouts too, such as Shape Magazine's Bikini Body Boot Camp, Tae Bo, and NYC Ballet Workout. They're all great workouts! Hope this helps some :)

  3. This sounds exactly like me. I was so depressed while watching the fashion show last night. I used to be so thin and I just feel like I need to lose about 15 pounds and do some toning. I have never heard of the pink method, but I would love to know if it works and if you like it. Good luck.
